Georgia Tech men’s basketball coach Josh Pastner will be a guest speaker at the annual Georgia Sports Writers Association meeting on June 4.

Pastner completed a successful first year as head coach of the Yellow Jackets. He took a team that was picked to finish at the bottom of the Atlantic Coast Conference to a 21-win season and runner-up in the National Invitation Tournament.

If you haven’t had a chance to meet coach Pastner, you’ll find him to be approachable and happy to talk about the program. Bring your notebook or tape record — he will fill it up.

Make plans now to attend the annual meeting, which will be in the Atlanta area on June 4.

Already announced as a guest is Tony Barnhart, the longtime college football writer and television analyst.

The meeting will also include presentation of the annual writing awards and Furman Bisher Sweepstakes awards.
