The much-awaited debut of new Valdosta coach Rush Propst will take place on Aug. 22 when the Wildcats host Warner Robins on a match between two iconic programs.
Here are just a few of the highlight of the first weekend:

- Aug. 22 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium: Kell vs. Walton; Brookwood vs. Collins Hill; Mill Creek vs. Parkview; Lowndes vs. Hoover (Ala.); North Gwinnett vs. McEachern.
The Erk Russell Classic at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro on Aug. 22 features: Lincoln County vs. Clinch County; and Wayne County vs. Statesboro.
